In 2007, the EUP Web site on magnetism and superconductivity will be fully
implemented and available on line at six urls or more:
www.icam.ucop.edu;
www.exploratorium.edu;
www.smm.org;
www.msichicago.org;
www.magnet.fsu.edu;
www.physics.uiuc.edu;
and included in Web kiosks at museum exhibits and campus outreach projects.
In 2009–10, an expanded version of the EUP Web site will cover examples of emergence and its applications beyond physics, including biology, chemistry, communication networks, economics, social behavior, psychology, biomedicine, and the environmental and other natural sciences. It will combine compelling visuals, animations, stories, models, and perhaps metaphors and analogies to communicate the vocabulary, organizational principles, and remaining mysteries in emergence.
The EUP Web site will allow the public to watch and participate with ICAM scientists as they form new hypotheses, share theories and data, and discuss what is not well understood in the field.
